Does your bike starts on the center stand with any gear, or sould it start on the center stand only with neutral?

I took my bike to the mechanic to change oil and other stuff and when i brought her home i noticed she only started on the center stand with neutral on...

I think, but i'm not sure, that before she went to the bikes doctor she used to start on the center stand with any gear selected!

Can you guys help me please?

    Tanks in advance!

Do you mean with the clutch lever pulled in, or just pushing the "start" button? The neutral safety switch, I believe, will prevent the starter circuit from working if the bike is in gear, regardless of center stand position, unless the clutch lever is pulled in.

I do not have schematics for that year, but that is typically how they are wired.

The clutch has to be engaged in order for the bike to start while in gear.

I would say that the there is not a neutral safety switch, or it is broken, or it has been by-passed.
