Just curious........When the throttle is at rest(idle), there is a lot of slop in it. Meaning you can twist the grip back and forth a good bit without actually moving the throttle. Is this normal, or is there a way to adjust that out?

A tiny bit of throttle slop is normal but as the throttle cables get older they stretch.

To adjust the slop out of the throttle cable locate the cable adjuster and hold the barrel (Red arrow) with an 8mm wrench.

With a 10mm wrench back off the nut (Green arrow) just enough so that it's loose.

While testing the slop in the throttle with one hand, screw the barrel away from the nut until you've dialed out the slop in the cable.

Now simply hold the barrel in place and screw the nut up to meet it and tighten it.

You do not want to take all the slop oot, there is a spec for how much is recommended but I find it is a bit much.
