I have a Two Bros. pipe which the previous owner mounted in the same location as the stock one. I want to know how to get it up near the fender (high mount I guess it's called). I would really like to show off my SS swingarm more.

Do I just need to order a different connecting pipe and do some jimmy riggin with the clamp?? Please help.

You would either need to have a custom mid pipe made to allow it to be mounted high with mounting brackets as well or you just have to buy a high mount exhaust. Mine had a low mount when I bought it so I just bought a new high mount.

I talked to a tech at Two Bros and he told me the same thing Oki. They don't make a high mount for the 98 and that a muffler shop could bend me pipe.
I wonder how much a shop will shaft me for that??

I will go to some muffler shops tomorrow or next week and ask about getting a pipe bent. If I can get it done, which I don't see why not, I will mount it ASAP and do a photo how-to and post it. I've always wanted to do that anyway!!

I'm thinkin bout it. I have a stock can that was taken off when the bike was almost new. It looks perfect. I'll probably never switch back. I was thinking about trying to sell it anyway. I am also thinking about selling the stock seat and windshield. Just taken up space for me...

Oh Snap! I didn't even think of bags when I wanted to move my pipe to high mount. Would it interfere or burn those throwover textile type saddlebags? I might not move it after all. On the other hand, I commute more than I tour so I could still high mount it then move it back if I go on a long trip.

I wish I had something to trade you Grimmel, but I don't. I gotta get a custom pipe bent.

It shouldnt cost that much to have a shop bend you a pipe.. As long as they arnt overly booked up at the time.. Take your bike down there and just let them know what you want.. I have had it done on a Race Quad and I think it cost me $10 (of course material costs have went up sharply since then)

I got a stock exhaust from my 2000 available. All I ask for it is the shipping cost.

    KC-10 FE out...

Not sure if mine will fit your '98, but I have a '94 with stock pipes and Yoshimura slip-on. I can probably throw some cash your way also. Let me know if you are interested.

Got a TwoBrothers on my, after a little custom work and $10 bucks from my local auto store, I got the best sounding bike I've ever owned. I've had it for 2 Years now.

Cut pipe after my third fall Broke a piece off. Used a hose clamp and a some rivets to hold it together.(covered up by pipe hanger). In bottom pic, pipe clamp is used between kickstand and exhaust pipes, must do to hold kickstand away from tire. In second pic, a piece of flat metal with holes drilled is used to hold pipe up, mounted on the passenger side peg bracket.
Only problem is sometimes the heel from your right shoe will rub on pipe. Otherwise, it's the best sounding VFR I've personally herd, and cost is low.

That is a pretty creative rig, but you need to paint that thing with some bbq grill paint or something because it looks GHE-TOOOOO. It has a cyborg/robot spaceship look to it! I like.

I am thinking about going to a hi-mount on my Jardine. I have the stock stuff. If you have a high mount connector, I'd be willing to trade. PM me if you are interested.

Grimmel, did you ever get squared away on your re-mounting on the exhaust. Saw you were interested in going back to low mount and had the high mount. Any reason why?
