Hey folks! Just bought a set of Pilot Powers for my 1998 VFR. I still haven't mounted them yet and I can trade them in for the Roads. I would love to hear some opinions on the differences you have all seen between the two types.

I'm a fairly new rider, bought my bike in May of '06 and have logged about 6000 miles on it so far. The last rear tire I had was a Metzler M-1 and I thought it did really well. The guys in the shop tell me from the looks of the rear that I'm "not afraid of corners" and do pretty well compared to a lot of the bikes that go through their shop, but to be honest I'm no hardcore knee-dragger, I just like to corner whenever I can. Do you think the Powers are too much and a waste? I just want to make sure that the tires are as sticky as my M-1 is and get the best mileage.

Thanks for your posts in advance!

The Pilot Power is at least as grippy as the M1 (or better), the Pilot Road is less griping st tire, not a sport tire as the PP and M1. Many have sade the PP give better milage that the M1. Metz has a new M3 out, more compartable to the PP.
