Hey, I'm on the point of closing out the purchase of a 5th Gen 2001 VFR800 and wondered how much I would expect to pay for the rear pillion grab rails as they are missing on the bike in question and I don't want to buy it and find out that these parts are like hen's teeth.

I have tried the usual suspects like google, ebay etc but can't find any for sale, maybe I'm not describing the parts correctly but in plain English they're the things that a pillion grabs on to just behind their bum.

Hope someone can help me with this although to be fair it's not going to stop me buying the bike!

    Cheers, Cookie.

Me want cookie.....UM UM UM......cookies good...UM UM....sorry, flashback to my sesame street days...I MISS BIG BIRD DAMN IT!

Hello and welcome boss. I usually search for them under...."vfr passenger handles," or "vfr grab handles" or even "vfr passenger rails." I just tried, and two different people are selling one....a right, and the other a left. Some clown is even too lazy to clean the paint off of his before he lists it. What a stroker joker.

I got lucky and found some off of ebay when I got my bike. Honda lists them for $80 (US dollar) from them directly.......OWIE. :spankme:

Thanks, they don't look too expensive and the guy has found the seat cowl which was not originally in the price I was talking about, so overall I think I've come out on top.

Gonna phone him now and put some money down, can't wait.....I commute to work on my bike and I'm trading up from a CB500. I'm looking forward to people's reactions when I turn up at work with the most stoopid grin on my face when I get my hands on the VFR!!!!

    Thanks again, Cookie.

I've bid for them on eBay several times, and they went for $85.00 or more for the pair. I was about ready to buy new ones. I finally got a pair from someone on this (or the other?) VFR forum for a reasonable price (I think $80.00, but my memory is a sieve).
