Over at www.triumphrat.net there is a photography thread with some really talented peeps in it. I've recently started taking photography as a possible source of income and I'd like to see what members here do with a lens. Show what you have!

Show me yours and I'll show you mine...

This is going to be a great thread. I have always wanted to take some photography courses. I do OK but I am sure there is room for lots of improvement.

I used to take a lot of photos in my previous life of evidentiary nature. Accident and crime scenes. I never kept a gore book so no blood and guts to share. Not that I would anyways.

    K peeps. Post up.

    Nice pic of SOW.

A video source for a thorough overview is a 4 DVD set by National Geographic "Fundamentals of Photography", hosted by Joel Sartore. Possibly in your local library.

I found this book on Amazon, used for $6, vs the $42 it costs new; National Geographic Complete Photography

Looking forward to some great pix, I got my degree in Photographic Science at RIT many, many years ago. Fortunate to own an original Ansel Adams photographic print.

Bought this at the gift shop in Yosemite in 1984, had get a little off axis for no reflections. It is a photographic print directly from the original Ansel Adams negative. The University of New Mexico had exclusive rights to make prints from original negatives.

My favorite photography is outdoors, usually in the mountains.

Nice shots! What equipment do you have? I use a Sony A57 using old Minolta lenses from my 35mm film camera.

Went out for a coffee this morning and walked to the shop. Was going to take the camera but didn't for whatever reason. Right there, in a stream next to the sidewalk, in the bushes, was this big Blue Heron just standing there watching me as I walked by. Damned that would have been a nice shot. Think I will try to get in the habit of carrying my point and shoot with me. It takes not too bad photographs. All my calendar shots were with that camera and I have been in 5 or 6 calendars.

I might get to enjoy my January shot for this years calendar if I ever get the damned thing.

I mostly shoot a Canon 5D MK3. Use to haul a 2 1/4 system into the mountains and shoot positives and negatives.

Just looked at our Sony camera. Looks to be very nice. Sony has really upped their game in still photography. They are in the sensor business too. It use to only be Dalsa and Kodak that made high end sensors in the CCD days but cmos sensors these days are very good.
