    Hi all!

I'm new here, because I just got my VFR. I've been riding for about 30 years and I worked at a Honda dealership for about 15 years. I sold my buddy a 25th anniversary VFR back in 08 (it was still new in the crate) and he rode it back to his place in Arizona. So... I bought it from him, flew down there and rode it home.

There's a link to my pics and blog about it-- it was great fun!! Almost 1800 miles-- I went from Phoenix to Albuquerque day 1, to Amarillo day 2 Dodge City day 3 and home (Illinois) day 4.

Well done, what a great story.
Sounds like you made the best of long days on the Interstate.
    Thanks for sharing.

Excellent story and an excellent first post I might add.

Now you have without a doubt the best VFR going (RWB 25th anniversary) and if we are to believe duccman, you have the golden nads to ride her too.

I did a similar ride a few years back when I bought a 2002 VFR with 6k on it in Dallas and I rode it home to Ottawa Ontario with a stop in Chicago. I did it in May so it was cooler and there were a few thunderstorms in Missouri to keep me from getting too happy.

Glad you are here and looking forward to more of your adventures!

So I think for you guys that totally sold out on a VFR and willing to fly somewhere to pick up your new bike and ride her home should get the official GOLDEN NADS AWARD .
So maybe lets start a OFFICIAL GOLDEN NADS AWARD thread ----what do you guys think ?

Thanks guys!!! It was a fun trip. I worked at a honda dealer for a long time and had a 94 as a demo bike and always wanted my own.

Also, kudos to the trip to Canada!! That's crazy cool!!

good wrote up & good ride. Looks like you are just a shade over 100 miles form me. I'm up the the Quad Cities, East Moline to be exact. I've ridden down to Burlington a time or two, just for a day ride. Will have to PM you and from there meet...

Hey, that sounds great! Gotta admit, I'm about to winterize now, but in the spring I'd be up for a meet and ride!
