Through a bit of luck, I have obtained a brand new 8983 with remote reservoir from eBay at a great price. According to Penske, the spring rate is spot on, and they sent me a mounting kit and an pre-load adjuster at a fair price. However, after mounting the shock with the shock exit on both the left and right, I have to figure out the best compromise. Penske wasn't any help here. It is just that the lead is so long. If wrapping around to mount on the sub-frame, there are two options that I can see, near exhaust primaries or in path of road debris. How have you mounted these to your steeds? Pics would be great.
