Last summer, got a '99 with Jardine pipe and K&N, otherwise stock, and installed a PCII. FI light was coming on after a short couple miles riding, so I called Dynojet (who makes it) and they said to load the base map and then change every value over 10 on the table to a 9. I did so, but it still burbles and pops when coming off in-town cruising speed (35-40) and it's running really hot...like 210 when riding thru town last week and the weather was 75ยบ. I didn't have time to remap it again at the end of the summer when I first put the PCII in it last year, 'cuz it got chilly in a hurry. It's just now starting to warm up, so I wanna get this straightened out. I've had it suggested to go in and change the 9's to 8's, but wanted some advice from VFR-experienced folks. I'm at 564 feet elevation, if that matters.
I live at sea-level, and have a 00 VFR with with a PC II. I was having trouble with the FI light coming on, and the guys at Dynojet told me to change any 9 in the AAP map to an 8 (and the single 10 I found). FI light hasn't come on since. I have trouble with rough running at parking lot speeds, 2500 rpm and lower, which can be really annoying sometimes. Anybody got a better map for a stock bike (stock pipe) with a K&N air filter? I'm running the map for a stock bike, except for the change to 8s in the AAP map. Thanks.
