So I got a run of the mill beat up first gen - VF700F(still missing half of the plastic) and finally got her her running enough for a ride the other day. Actually seemed to run pretty well. It has plenty of power for me right now.(Of course, my partner on his CBR 900 had no trouble keeping up) But the forks feel pretty soft to me, and I think the front master cylinder is on it's way out (been dropped lots by PO's some of the metal is missing, doesn't leak externally though). I was wondering if anyone knew of more modern parts that would interchange easily with these. I've seen Jamie D's site and am considering a few things there (oil mod & rear shock solution over a long time as income permits.) Love the look of the first gen bikes, but would like to update the functional bits. I know, call me :crazy:. I'd love to hear from any other first gen riders who have done similar things!
