I bought a wrecked 4th gen that has a good front end on it near as I can tell. That's all I need off of it and am going to part the rest. There is no plastic or gauges and the tank is smashed and cut open. Let me know what you are needing and I will see if I have it and what shape it's in.

I'm not sure where one would be located, but I would say no. There were no instruments and I have removed the sender off the sprocket cover and it just plugged into the harness.

Is the speed sender good? I have been thinking of trying to mod the signal output to correct the error.....in effect make my own speedo healer.

I am assuming it is, but don't know how to test it. Do you know the procedure?

There is a procedure in the Service Manual, requires a complete wiring harness and battery so that battery voltage is applied to the sensor, then measure the output voltage while turning the rear wheel.
Last time I did this was by connecting a battery across the sensor terminals and using an oscilloscope to look at the output signal.

What kind of price are you thinking? I just want one to play with...my VFR does not need one.....so not worth much to me.
