What is the name of the jet looking part that is on top of the carb going into the air box base? 1986 vfr700f
im not sure how to put images in threads. i looked on like 50 google pages and could only find one image that shows the part. there is a hole at the top of the throat on top of the carb. its about a centimeter long and sticks in the hole sticking up above the carb. like some sorta air jet. anyway. dont know how but i lost all 4 of them. ima have to go to honda i guess and look at some pictures with names.
I dono, thats what im askin. I tried looking at a diagram of parts blown up but it didnt seem to show that part. It sticks up out of the carbs the same way as the 2 little cylinder shaped parts do that the top half stick into the air cleaner base where each screw hole is. I wish i could find a picture of it. I can look at a manual next time im at honda.
I just looked in the "OEM Parts" section for a 1986 Honda VFR700F and there is a pretty clear exploded picture of the carbs, uncer "CARBURETOR (COMPONENTS), which is the 5th choice on the list. Link for ease of use: 1986 Honda Motorcycle Parts for VFR700F INTERCEPTOR, OEM and Aftermarket at BikeBandit.com Based on your descriptions, though, I can't for the life of me figure out what it is that you're looking for...
Ya I couldn't find it either. Maybe if i describe it like this. If you take off the air box, you have the air box base screwed down into the carbs. before removing the air box base you have to pull off 4 "jets" sticking out the top of the carbs into the air box base. the air box base gets wedged in them if you don't. Looking into the air box base you see the air box base, screws, these parts, and the slider (black part that slides up and down in carb) Im sure honda will know next time im in there?
