Anyone know of a fix for a surging 02 vfr? Just serviced, everything looked good. I seem to remember something about reprogramming to fix a problem like this.

    Thanks

lot of little things people do. block off the pair valves, take out the intake flap and snorkel etc...
i think the most important thing to do is the o2 sensor eliminators. this coupled with a power commander and good tune will make the bike perform perfectly.

Thanks I'll try those thinngs. Being in Canada we have a bit of a hard time getting some of the goodies you guys can get. I'll source the power commander and the o2 eliminators

    Thanks

All I did on my '08 was to install a PCIII with the Staintune map and remove the O2 sensors using the $2 resistor mod (saved the $30 buying the elim's from Dynojet). Runs as sweet as my '99 - no surging issues at all.

Power Commander is a must......last three I bought came with 02 eliminators. Should be no need to purchase them seperatly.

I just blocked off the Pair valve, disconnected the O2 sensors (per this forum) and ensure your starter valves are in adjustment according to the shop manual with number 4 cylinder being the default. Mine runs smooth as slilk now.
