    Hey Guys,

I know its a long ways off but since I can't currently ride, I'm plan my big summer trip...

A friend and I are trailering our bikes from Canada down to Sacramento. We're going to unload the bikes there and spend 7-8 days cruising California.

So what I'm asking is if anyone has a place in or near Sacramento where we could park the truck and trailer for those 7-8 days.

    May 23rd to June 1st.

    Cheers,

    Wes

let me check with my sis-in-law. She lives in Sac just off 50 and lives on a dead end street. There might be enough street parking there and she and her fiancee are both riders... How big or truck and trailer?

Ok, so I called her. I forgot to mention her fiancee is from Lethbridge. Anyway, she's gonna see if she can get you a visitor parking tag for her street. She says they rarely ever check but she'd hate for them to happen to do it while you are there. Anyway, she sayd you could park it right in front of her house. anyway, just pm me if you are interested and i'll give your her phone or email...

    Hey Reg,

Thanks a bunch, we're very interested. The truck is a full sized Suburban and the trailer is a 3 place motocycle trailer, about 13' overall.

I'll shoot you a PM right away.

    Wes

I hear ya! I feel dirty putting a bike like that where my track bike usually sits. That being said, the road between here and there is 1800 km's of boring slab...

A friend and I rode to the fall bike rally in Myrtle Beach South Carolina (about 8 hours). When we got close, we saw trucks loaded with bikes which had license plates from less than 100 miles away. So, being the rednecks we are, we began shouting at the drivers "TRAILERS ARE FOR BOATS!!!" We got a kick out of it, but I don't think everyone was amused.

I hear ya, and I like I said, I feel dirty for doing it. But, I only have 10 days and it'd be 5 days of slab on bikes. There's 3 of us so we'll drive around the clock and get there and back in 2 days. 8 days of riding in Cali vs 4 or 5 makes it an easy decision.

Yeah, sometimes a trailer just makes since, even if you hate to do it.

    Hey Wesley J,
I live in Pollock Pines about 60 miles east of Sacramento and I've got a few acres there. Plenty of room for your trailer and whatever. Someone in my family is always home and like I said, lots of room. Let me know if you're still looking.
