Hi to you all! I am new to the site (just registered in fact) although I have been riding my 2001 VFR800Fi for 2 years now. I am located in Montréal, Canada, where the summers are short, roads look like a battlefield and car drivers are motorcyclist killers on a mission. I also own a 1988 Hawk GT, a 1985 XT600 (for urban guerilla...) and a 1969 Norton Commando S. I finally took the VFR out of the shed this past week, only to find I have an annoying little problem. When either the clutch or neutral switches are actuated (changing gears between 1st and second or vice versa, or pulling the clutch lever all the way in) the PAIR valve is actuated (I can hear it very distinctly). Suspecting something was wrong with the ignition safety system, I replaced the sidestand, clutch and neutral switches, unfortunately without any success. I also checked, and then replaced the dual diode unit, no luck. I am now starting to fear the ECU is responsible for the problem. Although performance is not affected at all, this is certainly a sign that something will eventually go wrong... Any suggestions? Thanks in advance and keep the rubber side down
