    Someone should tell this guy that 500's weren't made in '87 and they never had gear driven cams. Where do people come up with this crap?

    no arguement there, but the photos appear to show 500s.

    Looks to be a deal whether the guy knows what he's selling or not.

    Looks like 84 VF500 to me... I had one with that maroonish red... I don't think they had gear driven cams either... I guess you are right that if someone was looking for parts, it's not bad, though. I'd haul them off for free...maybe...if he was close. I wouldn't give him $$ though.

    Looks like an '85 (the more complete one) and an '86 judging from the paint. It's a hell of a deal if you can get one running and use the other for parts. Seeing that they don't have titles it's going to be a PITA to get the one back on the road. Good part out deals or a track bike for anyone that is close.
