comes out ok-not too picky -its mainly for salt in winter. P1010249.jpg Wheel is alu alloy daylight with twelve spokes with a cooper 5 touring tire- I will balance them after painting. Other project target sport shooting with a new Traurus g2 , I figure it would make me see better , great exercise, haven't got one yet, but the rebate ends in dec 31 for $50, I am a stingy consumer.:stickhorse: Outside of wheel is gold so I leave that side alone.

P1010250.jpg Gold on outside with a bit of over spray-not really being too picky-they will just get ruined any way in salt. tires look ok to last winter.:ranger:

Well it came out ok, a little over spray just protects the wheel-I got duel color wheels-black inside where the salt likes to sit and eat alu and gold the way the wheel came it won't look bad at all, I got all the little rocks out of the tires-now it needs to dry for two days then I balance them on a road force balancer-that cost over $10,000. The wheels will get beaten up in winter so what I do is touch them up . Caliper paint sticks to anything.:bluesbros:

I am going to paint the whole wheel-I have a lot of extra paint, so might as well-I am doing this mainly to keep salt off the bare alu and eating the wheels, this would work on a vfr too- when paint fades just lightly re sand add more paint.:blabla:

I didn't finish yet, any fancy job like powered coating would get destroyed by salt-not worth bothering with. Powered coating would work well in summer only wheels. I am not making much money so its better than doing nothing. BB is useless and good for nothing and she knows it.:smow:

I like the idea, though. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

You Get no respect BB-report me to Roger Dangerfield- he still doesn't get any respect either-I actually delivered booze to his house once- he didn't pay for two cars at a dealership and they put a lien on his house - a true comedian, to bad he croaked.

I paint the wheels to keep salt from eating the alu wheels, I am not too picky on how they look. I touched up the wheels a bit more, but I like the gold color ,so that's it they are finished except for road balancing-that makes the tires last longer.

I was going to make a list like that myself, but it seemed like too much work so I didn't.

I had the wheels balanced today-mostly a waste of money but the tires should last a bit longer-I am trying to save as much rubber as possible so they will still work in like snow. the wheels are now done, I will wait till it gets real cold then mount them on car, it was worth doing but they over charged me a bit on the balancing. they will work nice on the car.:croc:
