I also have searched and searched with only a few hits on 5th gen bikes that have a black powdercoated frame as I have done this to mine and i want to have some idea what different colour skemes might look on it. if anyone has some picks that have this combo please let me know... Probably been done to death, but I'll chime in since I'm fairly new on the forum. I've put a PC II on my '99 with a Yoshi slip on and K&N filter and am pretty happy with it. It seems to be a bit rich at idle, but it has helped the off idle response. I can't remember what map I've got, sorry. I've been wanting to get down and get a custom map done, but need to run the valves before I do. At 31,000 miles it's due.

Dunno about the paint scheme as I like the stock polished frame. But I am thinking of getting the wheels powdercoated red to match the bike. Not sure yet, but leaning that way and the wife thinks it would look sharp.

LOL But the red ones are faster. And people don't try to peel them like they do the yellow ones.

    That's funny.

Maybe a stupid question. I was thinking about painting my 6th gen's wheels white and want them to be the same pearl that the rest of the bike is. Can you get pearl powder coat or is it available only in paint?

stock colours are great, I even thought of yellow but I want it to stand out as my own what do you think of a black/cherry? Pearl coats as far as I know are a mix in the clear coat randy and I doubt it can be done by powdercoating but I could be wrong

Black/cherry sounds unique. A subliminal design on that would look just spiffy.
