Too much happens on a multi day tour to list, but here are some highlights and photos. Started in Washington state in a downpour, then went to eastern Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and back through Idaho to Washington. Overall did 1700 backroad miles (no freeways or interstate) at speeds that probably should have been slower. Had temps from 72 and sunny to passes at 7000 feet with 36 degree temps and pouring rain. Burned through my front and rear tire, and a set of wheel bearings. Highlights were Lolo pass, Warm Lake road and all of eastern Oregon. Some pics.

Had to do a few dirt miles on the VFR to reach our lakeside cabin. Not the best dual sport bike!

Camping in the rain. Next day was over 80 miles of 36 degree temps and heavy rain.

Time to hang out stuff out to dry. Never been so happy to se a McDonald's parking lot.

Standard Lolo Pass "Curves next 77 miles" photo. Hula girl made it the whole trip, but her grass skirt flies up above 80 mph.

A couple friends and I get down to Washington, Oregon, Idaho once or twice a year and really do enjoy your roads. That chip seal used on your roads down there, though great for traction, is hell on your tires. Gotta watch out for them damned deer though.

Believe it or not, that bike was winched up this 30 foot deep embankment and the rider, was able to ride it back from here, north eastern Oregon, to Spokane where we loaded it back onto the trailer and back home to Canada.

A group of hunters came by tagged the deer, gutted it and hauled it away. No lie!

Yeah, chip seal is like sandpaper on your tires. And ours is not a slow group, so the speeds and chip seal were deadly to tires. We had 3 tires give out in our group.

Had only 1 near miss with a deer at night. I hate those stupid things.

So the photos did not load the first time I replied and I just saw them. Simply amazing. Glad no one was hurt. Except for the deer of course...

By the way, my next trip plan is BC for about 5 days. Hopefully...

I edited the photos in after I posted to the thread. So the photos were not there when you saw it first. This guy hit the deer on a curve, then hit a tree, then flew down about 30 feet to where he and the bike landed. He is a true testament to ATGATT. He was hurt but no broken bones. We overnighted in a hotel in Spokane and next morning he was black and blue on about 20% of his body.

Give me a heads up when you come to BC. If you enter BC from anywhere within 100 miles of the coast, you are right close by me. Me and maybe a couple of the guys I ride with regularly, might be able to join you for part of your ride anyways. The Deer Hunter included.
