    (SORRY FOR IPHONE PICS)
I bought my bike salvaged from some 21year old who did a good job crashing it, im only 18 and this is my 2nd bike. At 1st the bike seemed to cruiser like to me (i know its a sport-touring) so i had to fix a few things. What ya think?

    When i 1st bought it.

Whole thing now, lowered 1" in front, and 3/4" in back (perfect for corners) new fairings 325$ shipped, mirrors, 15-45 sprocket set-up (wheelies ) new chain, straight out of cat exhaust (nice and beefy), after market turn signals (used old holes as air ducts), lost the solo seat due to wheelie, if you have one for sale pm please
(unfortunetly im still saving for a headlight, its impossible to find one used so i gotta buy OEM 271.94$)

that is 1 of 4 that I have seen with a powdercoated frame(mine being one of them) looks like a great project bike!! How many miles and what did you pay for her?

Yea I think the polished frame makes the bike look bigger, and the black makes it smaller which I like. I got the bike for 1500$ (steal) body has 35,000mi and has 2,000mi on rebuilt motor, runs really strong, beats GSXR 600,750 and R6 (04-05)
Yea I really wanted a wrecked bike, I enjoy making something great again.

Pretty nice looking rebuild. I was wondering if you have tested the clearances with the front suspension bottomed out? Those forks are way high in the triples, just wondering if you have mashed the fender into the cylinder head or the upper cowl yet.......

no no bottoming out yet, i don't see why you would? I've come down hard on some wheelies and still no damage. I guess in iowa we have some smooth roads

+1 on the black frame. There's a similar thread on that <cough>other VFR site right now as well.
I'm planning to do an F4i front end over the winter, and I'm thinking a few coats of truckbed coating on the frame would be a nice sub-project while it's apart.
