I've been VFR free for many years now. I sold my white third gen, my 4th gen, and my RWB 07 a while back. all three had the 92 rear wheel and not a day goes by I don't have slight regret. However, they just were not getting ridden. To be thorough, I actually ended up selling my entire 'old school' collection, really missing my 92 GSXR, 93 GSXR, 92 FZR1000 as well.

anyway, sad sap talk aside, I'm just checking in to see if the condomless mirrors and 3rd gen center stands are still a 'mod' people are doing?

No, I paid good money to get oem mirrors for one of my gen3s. I never even entertained a centre stand f0r these bikes as I have a kick arse service stand that I bought 30 years ago. 122118 (1).jpg

    Centre stand standard in Europe.

Can't understand why they deleted it for US sales.

Usually to hit a price point for the US market. This was also a time that US prices were high, and the GB500, Hawk, CB-1 and the NX line (albeit odd, but awesome, models) were languishing due to price.

They also deleted the clock and the fuel reserve function.

this pic makes me really miss my VFR.

anyway, in the 90s we were all in a hurry to ditch our center stands. then 2010's there seemed to be a rebirth of center stands. now I guess things may have changed a bit again. I just remember everyone changing out their mirrors and looking for center stands for their 3rd gens.

Just found a stock pile of old vfr parts and I was checking to see if they were even worth selling or recycling.

    thanks all!

It doesn't matter the reason it's gone, you will always miss a VFR.

Post up what you have, it could be just what somebody is looking for.
