My 86' 700F will finally be going in for paint in Feburary, hell or high water it is being taken care of this year. These are the color schemes I have decided on give me your opinion.

    1) Stock dark blue w/ gray accents
    2) Yamaha Blue(r1/fz) w/ gray accents
    3) Pearl white w/ no accents

I would love to do the the stock red white & blue but I don't have the talent/patience to do that. The project budget won't allow paying some else to do it either. So out of the three listed what do you think would look best?

Pearl white. The darker colors make the bike look smaller than it is.

Are you thinking about spraying mica, or just the color? Adding a little flip - flop to the clear might give a neat effect.

I like the yammy blue on a yammy, but i'd get pissed if everyone kept asking me if my bike was a yamaha. I'd probably go with the pearl white also... Where's the red option? You know, red is faster...

I would go w/ mica in the clear, I will be prepping & spraying the base color. One of the body shop guys I work with will be doing the clear/mica, he let spray clear on our last joint project & I'm not worthy enough to spray clear yet.

IMHO an 86/87 in red looks terrible, plus all my riding gear is blue or has blue in it.
