    Ok, so I may not have thought this one all the way through. I wanted to install a Powerlet outlet for my heated vest, as well as for charging the battery. I wanted to find a discreet but convenient spot to mount the outlet and I didn't want to drill a big hole in any expensive body parts. So here's what I came up with........

    Seemed good, until I realized that's right where an R&G slider goes, which I was leaning towards installing.

    12V Powerlet? That is the narrower type of plug that BMW uses on their bikes, no?

    Thanks man. I'm very happy with the location, it just negates installing R&G sliders, which I was actually considering. Not at the top of my priority list though. With temps around 27 F when I leave for work in the morning the last two weeks, the powerlet port for my heated vest is worth a lot more to me than frame sliders. There was some black ice on the roads Tuesday morning, so I'm trying extra hard to keep the paint off the tarmac.

    Fortunately, since we changed the clocks, it's now light out again on my way in to work, so I can see it before I get there. If it were dark out, it would be an issue. Fifteen years of taking the same route, I know every tar strip in the road. If there's something new there, I notice. 'preciate your concern though.

    So does your avatar. ;-}
