I bought a spare lowmilage 98 motor for my bike off ebay at a steal of a price. After recieving it in an extra parts box was an emmissions cannister :( leading me to belive it is a california motor. As far as the long block goes are there any differences between the california bikes and the 49 state bikes other than the cams and ignition timming settings? I have a spare set of 49 state cams in my garage from an old blown motor I could install in the cali motor if that is the only internal difference.

As far as I know, the emissions stuff is all add on. No internal differences. You may PM NorcalBoy. He knows for sure.
