Yeah, it's a sick bike - but many reviewers were disappointed with the extremely watered down engine and suspension components used on the production version vs. the actual race version.

I agree with Jeff and the other reviewers. What that POS streetbike needs is more horsepower using the GP engine. It should also come with a trailer full of Japanese techs and a shitload of rice.

These will either be garage queens for collectors or track toys or both for those that buy them. Reminds me of the 200 copies of the R1 with 240hp that were made and sold before even going into production. Nobody can use that much hp on the street legally or without killing themselves or somebody else. Most people can't use near all of the HP of a stock street VFR but they still think they will never get enough HP. Learning to ride better is money better spent. Just another opinion. ; )

For (at todays rate) $224,519.and change, maybe Jay Leno will have one. My garage is full so I won't have one unless somebody with some real pull can get me one with the GP engine. I do so want to be a fast guy at least at bike nights.

Just my $.02 worth which BTW might get me a deal reducing the price of that POS to $224,519.79. I will be watching Ebay for a better deal.

The question now is did all those R1s sell? Or better yet is there a line for this VFR that is so underpowered or are both adjuncts to homologation for something that we in the peanut gallery don't know shit aboot?

Let me clarify my statement ... many reviewers felt the price tag was extremely high for a watered down version of the GP bike. ;)

I agree - no one will use that much HP on the street. I think production litre bike are kind of silly, but everyone always wants more HP / displacement.

Would I want the bike? Hell yeah - if I had millions of dollars in disposable income to afford it. LOL

Great comments guys. Yea I get the price, pff really?.... what the H, but that a side, it's still a cool bike. Now if Honda would only figure out that if they made one for the masses at a price that makes sense, like the Aprilia model, yes it's doable, they would hit it outa the park.

Now I'm wondering if any of the reviewers have millions of pesos to even buy one, or maybe the "reviewers" who were whining just didn't get to go to on the junket and even sit on the bike.

Dredging up an aphorism from Hot Rod magazine, "There's no substitute for cubic inches". This is great until the subject is Harleys or somebody converts to metric.

Maybe Knight will buy one and fit it with panniers.
