Pull off the spark plug boots, and use compressed air or paper towels to clean out the water from the spark plug wells, and the inside of the boots.

If that doesn't take care of it, the spark plug(s) might be fuel fouled. You might get away with cleaning them, but they may need replacing.

It is worth checking whatever allowed the water to get in there to begin with, as there is usually rubber grommets of some kind that are supposed to prevent this sort of thing from occurring.

the only thing i can think of offhand is there is water in the spark plug tube causing the spark to short to the block. also check around the coil make sure the tower or body has no cracked causing a voltage lose. i dont know how you are checking spark but its best to use an adjustable gap spark tester so you can create a load on the coil to ensure you have enough voltage to fire the plug under compression

My guess is that you wet bridged the gap on the spark plug. Which also makes me thing your Spark Plug crush washer isn't sealing right.

I wouldn't ever douse a bike to clean it, rain is one thing, but a jet stream can direct water into places it wasn't meant to be able to get into (like the plug wells).

Oh sorry, I misunderstood your original post.

If you don't see any spark, I'd try a new plug first then start seeing if the wire/electronics are bad.

Your bike will probably be better after the wetness evaporates.

The standard first response to one cylinder not firing is to change the sparkplug on the bad cylinder, either with a new plug or one switched from another cylinder.

You need also to inspect plug wires and test them and coils with an ohmmeter.

thats one way to check it, it doesnt hurt anything. like i said earlier it just wont really show a weak coil because it doesnt put enough load on the coil.
when the plug is under compression it takes alot more voltage to jump the gap than just sitting against the cyl. head. but as everyone else said its probably a wet or bad plug.
