The title pretty much says it all. I wrecked (low side) my near mint 3rd Gen on the Dragon this weekend and trashed the entire left side. It's still ridable but very rashed with lots of cracked/broken plastic. I'm not one to make excuses but I pretty much hate Pirelli Diablos and completely regret not spending the few extra bucks and buying my usual tires (Michelin Pilot Powers)

Did I mention that all of this was caught on camera by Killboy on Saturday morning? Pics and more more details coming soon..........

Yes I was riding with Viethorse and several other forum members from VFRD but none of them saw the wreck because they were all about 1/2 mile behind me. I was in the middle of my lane exiting a sharp left hand turn when the front wheel slid out from under the bike for no apparent reason. I am pretty lucky that me and the bike stopped at the edge of the road because it was a long way down the steep embankment just to the right of the road. The majority of my riding is done in the mountains of North Georgia and North Carolina so I am very upset because I am very experienced and accustomed to these roads. The photographer got some good pics of the entire ordeal and I'll post them when they become available.

Real bummer, but maybe a wake up call to some of us.
If an experienced rider, accustomed to the road, can lose it in an instant, maybe I need to give some thought to whether or not I might be pushing my capabilities a little. Not too concerned about the tire/bike capabilities, just mine.
