Just a quick note to say, "Hi!" I just joined the forum a few days ago and it looks like a great place to learn about and celebrate all things VFR-related!

I've owned a lot of motorcycles that I really liked, but never one that felt so right - and so quickly - as the 25th Anniversary Edition VFR800 I bought this past weekend. I had been lusting after it for six months . . . and the dealer finally got the price down to where I could afford it. It's my retirement present to myself! I guess I'm lucky to be living in an area where the VFR800 isn't as popular as it seems to be elsewhere.

I'm looking forward to cooler weather here in southern Illinois, but still enjoying getting the bike broken in on the miles and miles of fantastic two-lane roads that wind through the rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest. Here's hoping that y'all are having good riding weather, finding fun and safe roads, and grinning as much as I am about the great riding experience offered by the VFR800.
