Pretty comprehensive site. My compliments to the administrators.

After a great deal of research and shopping I just purchased my umteenth street bike. I was trying to decide between a 1999 VFR and a 1999 CBR1100XX. Both beautiful bikes for serious sport touring. I was actually leaning toward the Blackbird when this beautiful yellow VFR turned up on my computer the morning I was to leave to get the XX.

I've always like the yellow ones, you just never see them. This one was decked out in Mike Corbin attire, and had super low miles. Long story short I test road the Intercepter and wham the hook was set! What a nice bike!

Anyway, it has a new home in my garage squished between my V-max and Buell. All I need now is a louder silencer, without sacreficing horsepower (hopefully enhancing it).

Any suggestions, that will fit under my beatle bag, and not require a power commander purchase?

Welcome. That yellow does look good! I was tempted to paint mine yellow after a recent crash, unfortunately all the police vans in the '80's were yellow so I can never look at a yellow vehicle without thinking of a cop van. If you are that way inclined, maybe gutting the original silencer is an potion?

Welcome to the site. Nice sweet ride. I can't say that I ever saw side bags like that. Are they after market. They look good on there. Better than the 6th gen stockers I think.

The bags were probably the detail that tipped the scale for me. They are produced by Corbin, and are reportedly quite spendy, unfortunately. I think they blend beautifully with the bike's lines though.

The bike does look nice even if it is yellow

As far as those Corbin Beetlebags they are definitely nice but are a bit too small for most people in terms of space. Welcome to gear driven cam madness!!

I love your quote. It is one that most of us are guilty of. I'm glad to know that I am not alone with this addiction.

Anyhow, great looking bike and welcome to the forum.

As a fellow yellow 1999 owner, I have to say... I NEED THOSE BAGS

Any idea where to get them? I've got a Corbin Saddle I love, but those side bags are gorgeous.

Corbin makes more than just seats. Take a look at this web page- url=http://www.corbin.com/honda/vfr800bag.shtml| 800-538-7035[/url]

I didn't know they made a yellow Interceptor in 99, Jack?

I learn something everytime I come here!
