Okay is the motor dying on me?

I have an 02 VFR that I picked up this past year. It went down on the RH side fairly hard.

She after starting it in doors blows what seems almost like a bit of Carbon out the tailpipes.

It spattered my ZX9R when I ran it this winter and seems to have a bit of a cuastic exhaust smell.

I run 2 stroke sleds and this does not seem like 2 smoke burning oil smell, but is definitely not right.

The oil level looks okay so I dont think its overfilled.

It also has a strange ldle thump that is slightly offbeat, almost like maybe its missing just a bit but once its warmed up it runs fine. I have had it stall a couple times in the Early AM but it usually only happens once and fires right back up with no effort.

I will be changing the plugs to see if that helps the idle, but I am wondering if its possible the top end needs freshening or if the fall could have caused the timing to slighly be off.

The bike only has 11k miles and (dont tell my wife) I plan to keep this one instead of reselling it like I did with all the other bikes I rebuilt this past year.

I usually can figure things out but this one has me a bit confused. What should the compression numbers be, that I can check.

Sorry just new to the VTEC thing all the bikes I have redone have all bee cosmetic issues only.
