    Just curious:

I have an 04'. When I bought it and changed the oil, I put in Repsol full synthetic 10w 40 and have ever since. Should I go with full, or semi synthetic and why?

    Thanks

    sully

No really. This needed to come up again. Keeping all that bottled up inside for too long cannot be good for ones health both physical and mentally.

There are a zillion threads all over the Interwebs on oil...unleash search here and on Google and you could spend the rest of your natural life reading all sorts of non-educated, hearsay-based claptrap, and if you're lucky, you cna find a little actual information.

As for me, I've sent oil off to Blackstone Lab maybe 30 times over the last many years (race bikes and street bikes) and I've used every kind of oil from $1/qt crap to $30/qt Motul...what I learned: There is no oil available at any price that does a better job in any motorcycle than Rotella-T synthetic...and damn few were as good. Save your money. There is absolutely no basis in reality for the whole "oh, you have to use motorcycle oil" thing.

Anyway, do some research...lots of info out there.
    Good luck!
