I have a new '07 and whenever I turn off the engine, it spits oil out of the overflow tube onto the ground. I initially figured that it was because the factory overfills the crankcase to error on the safe side. I changed the oil at 300 miles and it is still doing it. Is this normal? There's no way that a new bike should be leaving oil spots all over the garage floor!

they may have screwed up PDI by overfilling the oil. Check the airbox like they said. Any way you cut it, its not supposed to leak oil. It's a Honda VFR not a Sportster.

At this point, this may be what the problem was. It has now only done it once since I changed the oil, and it was the first time the engine was run following the oil change. Up until now it has done it every single time. I put in 3.3 quarts and looking at the window on the crankcase window, it is just below the high mark. Before, it was just above the high mark.
