Hi everyone. Got a 98 model with a very slow oil leak. Pools on the underside of the centre stand and shows on the ground when parking overnight. No warning sign on the display as yet.Due a service and MOT in the next month so just wondering what I could be looking at. 10000 miles since the last service and 62000 on the clock. Engine still runs sweet and no spurious noises.Any suggestions welcome.

Crush washer replaced last oil change and how many miles ago?
Have you checked to see if there's oil on the underside of your oil filter?

    Besides the oil pan bolt....

Check the oil seal around the gear shift shaft heading from the foot lever into the case. could be the counter shaft seal. (the shaft the front sprocket is mounted to)

Either way, pull off the body work and wipe everything down. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Mine has started a very slight leak here too after mega mega miles but not enough that it drips on the ground so at this point, I am doing nothing. Unless you pull the panels off, any guess is just that. Pull the panels and take a look around. It should be easy to find. If there is a lot of oil behind there, them wipe it down really well and watch often for it to resurface.
