Been lurking on this forum for a while. Currently thinking of trading in my bike for a red 2014 Vfr800. I've always been partial to vfr's. My first bike was an NC30. I'm in Canada, so everything costs more.

What's fazing me is the cost of the oem top box and side cases. Holy cow. It's around 3k CAD after taxes. Ouch!

Yes, but the pannier fitfent system is a work of art, no ugly rack when off the bike.

It is only 2K if you use Harper $3.00 coins. The 8th gen are that expensive. Wow. I had the option of getting OEM hard bags and top case for my 06 when I bought it new back in the day. They were pricey but no where near that expensive. Wish I had bought them back then. As it turned out, I did buy a set of used OEM for my bike after several years of using soft bags. They were red so paid a bit to get them painted. But the benefit of the hard bags made the expense worth while. I would like to find and mount the top case some day too.
