They had one at the Vancouver Motorcycle show this weekend in Abbotsford. Sat on it for the first time. Did not really get my mojo going. If I could get the wiffy interested in going on trips on a bike, I would consider a Goldwing but shit, $30,000 + for me alone. I don't think so. I still like my 06 and will stick with that for a wile yet.

I would be interested in hearing what this rep had to say on the subject of the future of the VFR. If they could get that weight down, or at least the COG lowered, and increase the fuel capacity, I think they would come up with a great seller for many people. Loose the fancy automatic shifting crap. Most people if not all, like shifting. That seems to be part of the lure to these things.

One thing I did observe at this show this year was a booth selling "in the ear" ear buds for music or what ever. "BUT". They were the kind that transferred sound via those coiled up air passages. People. Do not buy that technology. It is junk. Your ear sweats and those tiny thin coils will get moisture in them and that stops the sound. It is a bitch to get that sweat out of those. You are far better off buying hard wired ear buds and having them goop fitted into your ear. Hell, I just use the ear buds with the accompanying silicon ear flanges which will reduce road noise about 50 - 75% of what the foamies do and that is pretty good.

My 7 cents worth.....(exchange rate and inflation you understand)

I have the Chatterbox II but found that where was too much wind noise at freeway speeds to hear anything with any decent degree of clarity. To use the phone feature was to say the least, pitiful. This according to people I talked to on the phone using the Bluetooth through my gps and chatterbox unless I was actually stopped. Even then everyone told me the echo was pretty bad.

wow, the scala is much better than that...i have the G4 in Sheoi Qwest.....noise cancelling mic works very well.i talk on the phone and people say, "what are you doing?" and i say 85mph on my motorcycle and they can't believe it !!! have used phone at over 100mph w/out noise problems audio listening quality is outstanding after careful placement of the speakers in the helmet , way more than enough volume available...i use SiriusXM app or i tunes and Google maps (free) on my droid phone on Ram X mount in steering stem...can't beat it !!!

Just maybe the helmet design has something to do with it. I have the Shoei X12 which has an abundance of ventilation so it would also have an abundance of wind noise baffling around inside there. I also wear the chin curtain with this helmet. I recall my HJC and Sharke helmets being a lot quieter but not nearly as nice a helmet for weight and comfort as this Shoei.
