I am 30, didn't start riding until I was 23. I am a nurse in Tulsa, OK. A 95 VFR 750 was my 2nd bike, sold it eventually and got a 954rr. Well I am a large man and that got old (still fun) when trying to go on longer rides. In 2012 I quit my job and went to nursing school. It is almost impossible to work and go through that type of program. They crammed 2 years worth of course work into 14 months. Money got tight and I had to sacrifice my precious Fireblade. When I graduated I got enough cash to get back onto a bike. I found a 93 Honda Nighthawk 750 that needed some TLC for $800. Fixed it ($300) and decided I hated riding it. It was fine for city riding but horrid on the highway. Sold it for $1800, bought a 00 Bandit 600s for $1400, fixed it ($75) rode it for a while. It was comfy but felt super sluggish so I ditched that one for $1800 too. 2 Months later I find a 2007 VFR 800 25th anniversary edition sitting at a dealership for $6k. While I was asking my facebook group/local sportbike group about the dealership someone from another dealership contacted me and offered me the 2010 VFR 1200f for the same price. 2nd owner, under 17k miles, and only has scratches on the right side mirror and oil case. So I took that one. I have been riding as much as the weather will allow. I miss being able to use my Joe Rocket Manta XL tank bag, the hand grips are horrible and result in major cramping/numbness, and riding in the city it can get super hot (fan kicks on and blows the hot air right onto my legs). I will eventually have the ECU reflashed (off season) but in the mean time I need to get aftermarket grips, seat, and luggage for her.
:welcome: to the madness  Glad to have you and congratulation on your new ride. That is a steal for VFR1200 :thumb:
