I'm thinking about going to the races at Loudon Speedway on Sunday, June 1st. I plan on riding up with some friends, the long way of course, and stopping for breakfast along the way.

I'll be leaving from the D'nD in STERLING, MA at 8:30. Breakfast will be in either Peterborough, NH at the Peterborough Diner or at Cliff's in Townsend, MA.

Details are still being worked out, but I will update this post when I can.

    Hi Pat,
Post up the details when you have them. I might be able to escape on a Sunday morning and meet up in Peterbourgh.

A couple of my riding friends, including the guy who is planning all of this out, are riding 2up for this ride, but it should still be a nice ride.

Here's what he has to write.

"We will take the long way to Loudon, using some great motorcycle roads like..

    137
    136
    31
    132
...taking us north to the New Hampshire Speedway for a 12:30 arrival time. If possible we will bring a packed lunch to the track, grinders, potato salad, pasta salad and the like. I will need volunteers to make items and help lug it up there.

Most likely the ride home will be via slap 93,89 to 13 south. Seeing its a school night and all.

So if you ever wanted to watch motorcycle racing to see what its like, or a seasoned fan now is the time to come along with the OSJ's for a day!"

    Some details about the track
Racing starts at Noon. Its $15 to get into the grandstands or $25 for grandstands and infield area. There is a restaurant and concessions in the infield area only. I'm sure its expensive and not the best quality. I will most likely do the infield pass and we plan on eating a good sized breakfast so most likely we will skip a formal lunch. I will pack a cooler with water and a few snacks, if you have room on your bike then you should do the same.

Once we get there we will pick a time for all of us to meet up and start the ride home. Depending on when OSJ's kids will be back from their day with his family will decide when its time to leave. I will let you know Sunday morning. If we have time we will stop at Jackie's Dairy Bar (Rt 13 & Rt 2 in Leominster, MA) on the way home for some fried clams.

Great. I'm waiting on a reply to find out where breakfast is going to be, but we'll be riding through Peterborough no matter what.

Leaving Sterling, MA Dunkin Donuts at 8:30 - breakfast at Cliffs in Townsend, MA, but if it's to small, crowded and has a long wait, then we'll go to Peterborough Diner in Peterborough, NH - arriving at track around 12:30.

Here are the people that are in:

OSJ (leader/planner; Ducati Multistrada; NEST) - 2up with Michelle
    STDave (ST1300; NEST) - 2up with SO
    PhatPat33 (VFR800; NEST, vfrd, vfrworld)

    Tentative Maybes:

NeverlosT (vfrworld - meeting at Dunkin Donuts in WB?)
dskelton (vfrworld - meeting at breakfast?)
MrJoelieC (vfrworld - meet at the track?)
Hoss (NEST - meet at the track)

    Hey Pat,
Thanks again for the invite. I had a great time on the ride. Kudos to Jim, he does an excellent job of plotting out a route.
The photo is of the 3 VFRs that made the trip to NHIS. Mine is the '03 lathered in stickers, Pat's has the luggage, and RC30 belongs to Pat's friend Dylan.
The two Multi-Stratas were on the ride as well. The red one is Jim's.

I'm glad that you made it out there, Dean. It was a perfect day for riding.

I'm glad that you took some photos, as I forgot mine. I can't believe that I left my camera.
