i literally have no power going to my bike ive looked at my fuses next to my cluster gauges and checked my battery and it still has power so im wondering if my 4th gen (94-97) has some fuses in the tail part of my bike, ive tried looking for them but to no luck . if someone could help me out that would be fantastic. thanks in advance for the help Joey
a few more details about the symptom might get you some answers. What exactly do you mean by 'no power going to your bike', 'my battery... still has power'? Help us understand and we'll help you fix it. It's probably something simple (and yes, there's a 'master' fuse).
So does the battery have more than 12 volts when you turn the key to the on position does the lights come on or anything? When you hit the starter button does the bike turn over?
i hooked up a volt meter and it showed that it still had power in it, but when i turn the key to the open position nothing turns on. i have no lights the clock isnt on, the bike doesnt turn over nothing.
Thanks to kb for posting that. Just a word of caution - do NOT use a 'visual inspection' to check that main fuse. It can look just fine and be toast. Been there, done that.
Four pin plug on top of relay is my first place to look. Heat damage and melting is more than common.
