    Hello fellows,
Tonight I started my 1999 VFR800 and realized I had no headlights low or Hi beams. I checked all the fuses and they are all intact. Speedo lights and all other lights and apparently everything else is working. I find it strange both headlight bulbs would go out UNLESS I didn't notice one was out earlier. Any thoughts?

I would recheck the fuses with a multimeter. On occasion you won't be able to visucally see when a fuse is blown. There is a main fuse that you will want to check along with a set of smaller fuses that you will want to check.

If the fuses check out, I would check the switch, and wires. If you disconect the switch you should be able to check that there is 12V available there. If that works, I'd check to see if the wiring is not loose or shorting out.

Good luck, I hope you're able to get to the bottom of this.

    Try jiggling the start button.

Or try pulling the start button all the way out, instead of relying on the spring to push it back out.

Clean the start button contacts if necessary. It cuts out the headlight just before cranking the starter motor, so it might not be allowing the headlight to come back on.
