I know! I know! I've done extensive research in that area and it was going to be my next road trip destination if I stayed in Washington...

Wow that is really nice! You must of had a great trip with roads like that. I'd like to try and get back out to that part of the country someday. Was on the eastern edge of Montana/Wyoming once.

Ta Da, we have a winner, Yep, Chief Joesph Hwy, then one can cut back on Beartooth Hwy up to Red Lodge Mt. Such a road that anyone that rides needs to try it on for size, if the scenery doesn't get ya, the road will for sure, It's totally over the top. No pun intended.

Both The Chief Joseph and Beartooth Highway should be on every motorcycle riders to do list. The Chief Joseph Scenic Highway has a race track like quality road surface, lots of amazingly fast sweepers and a ton of switchbacks and the scenery is so beautiful. You have to ride it twice, once to look at the scenery and once to get your adrenaline pumping. The Beartooth is also an amazing road, the road surface isn't the greatest because of the freeze/thaw cycles at 10,000 feet above sea level but it gets a whole lot better towards the end, lots of switchbacks. The greatest thing about two of the best roads in the U.S (IMHO) is that they are right next to each other and make a great loop.

This along the top of Beartooth pass.
