Hey guys, I know there are some of you that can't ride today because of the weather, so here's a short video of me out today (Nov. 17 2011) on the '86 VF1000R. I took it for a run up and over the Laureles Grade (from Carmel Valley to Hwy 68) near Laguna Seca Raceway. Beautiful day today in the high 60's... supposed to rain tomorrow, so I wanted to sneak in a ride and a short video. Be sure to click the '720p' mode and full screen too...

There was a lot of traffic on this great road, so I ran it in stages, pulling over to let the sluggish traffic get ahead, and then catching up to them. I chopped out most of the slower stuff. Sorry for the poor audio, but the wind blast is pretty distorting. I covered the mic hole with tape, but still pretty bad.

For you guys with cabin fever, I hope you can enjoy some California sunshine!

    Cheers,
    BLIGHT

Cabin fever has just begun! In the NE, we've got at LEAST another 4 months before we can even consider getting the bike out. The lake effect snow machine is getting ready to kick in and we've got to get through about 120" of snow before spring.

I liked the video and I really enjoy the gear whine that the R emits. I think many people don't realize that the R does have the gear driven cams. This bike still moves! I'm jealous.
