Now since this thread is on football, what does everyone think about the cash for clunkers program?

 

it is a good program for the time being:thumbsup: to move some cars and put people to work. but as the money runs out, it will be like the false housing bubble and back to low sales in the auto indusrty..I think Obama actually did this one right, to try and give the economy a shot in the arm and keep the treehuggers happy crushing the dreaded polution machines..The auto industry will always have problems because a new car is not truely needed, there are plenty of good used cars for half the price..but now the dealers are the ones sweating waiting for their money....I still think all this bailout money should go back to the taxpayers, in form of a check, that will create spending and growth becuase people will finally have money to buy things they need and/or pay bills off...and maybe invest a little...god forbid the working man can retire with some money in the bank.......:thumbsup:
