Newbie from Shropshire Uk I picked up my Vfr yesterday . A blue 2005 vtec . I loved the ride back home couldn't believe how smooth the bike feels and well planted . I've had all sorts of bikes R6 , Daytona 675 , Cbrr 600 , vfr400nc30 , Tzr 250 rev cyl . Look forward to more ride outs Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Wow:thumbsup: Welcome to VFRWorld!:welcome: Kudos for posting that stunning photo - you must be very pleased. It looks like it is the ABS version, and that screen is definitely not standard. Given the colour scheme you just might be interested in something I spotted yesterday - http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/honda-vfr-800-top-box/1054690805. You can still get the mounting rack from the likes of David Silver Spares. When you get time - it is a good idea to update your forum profile with your bike specs and a rough location. That way the information will appear alongside all your posts, and if you need help you may find someone nearby willing to swing by and offer help, especially if you have some beer in the fridge. One last thing you might want to note the following thread which demonstrates these things are a bit top heavy and can adopt horizontal parking mode with very little warning. http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthre...ed-it-how-many-time!?highlight=you+dropped+it With a bike looking that good, you may want to invest in some R&G frame sliders, as I know they work and they are a lot cheaper than trying to source replacement fairing panels! Take care Skimad
Nice ride! I don't think I've ever seen a blue one, almost as fast as the asphalt black. Just remember, frame sliders are for sissies.......welcome.
Another Btit............ :welcome: to the madness from across the pond  Beautiful bike  Kudo for posting picture :thumb:
Thanks for the welcomes . Is there any major problems that I need to be aware of , the bike has 17000 miles on clock , service history stamped . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I think the only issue you might be concerned with is if the recall was done on the electrical issue. If you have the whole service history, I suspect the PO was quite particular and had it taken care of. The book calls for a valve check right about this time. I did mine as per manual but if I were to do it over again, I would not. Probably not until I had about 40K miles or so. At 17K miles on the clock, you are just broken in. I have 170,000km or about 105K miles on mine. All my miles, or at least I was there when they were put on maybe riding someone elses bike. I expect to get many more years and thousands of miles out of the girl. She is not old, but has been ridden like a cheap hooker and put away wet. BTW. That colour is so sweet I am getting a toothache.
