I'm new to the "Interceptor" experience. I've spent the last 5 years on a "Valkyrie", but after a ride on my son's 600RR, I felt the NEED ! Now I've toured, camped and throughly enjoyed the Valkyrie, but now I need advice re: my '03 VFR.

For the summer of '08 I'm planning a trip to the Rocky Mountains, 6,000 mi. +. So I'll need bags, I like the look and simplicity of the Honda bags, but am unclear as to how exactly they mount, and how does the bike look with the bags off, with the "brackets/holders" installed. Also, when you order the color matched Honda bags, do all the necessary brackets/ mounts/ holders come with them or are there other part #'s to order?

A picture of an '03 Intercepter with the bags removed would be worth a thousand words. Could you help a "newbie" out ? Thanks in advance, "The Zube"

I just recently purchased the Factory set. You can check out the Wiki for my review and some pictures.

The install only leaves a minor frame behind when the bags are removed. The following link is from "alowishus's" photo album. There are some great pics there of what you are looking for.

The install is straight forward with minor cleanup drilling required.

No OEM cases but I've got Givi bags with SW Motech detachable racks and love them. With the racks removed there are only three small tabs on each side of the bike. When mounted they are solid as a rock.

Images below are links to larger photos. Click an image below to view the larg photo.

Hello Jason, Thanks for the pics, they answer alot of questions. Looks like the passenger grab rails are required to mount the racks? What parts did you have to order to do the install start to finish? My local dealer is brain dead when it comes to parts and accessories so my plan is to order on-line.

    Thanks for the help, Zube
