Hello from the mountains of Western NC. I just joined and recently picked up a 1986 VFR 750 with 8400 miles on it, immaculate. I have owned a '96 VFR 750 in the past but have been into Ducati's for the past 10 years. Have always liked the first real VFR!! I will be looking for tires soon!!!

OK, here are some bad pics picsvfr 026.jpg picsvfr 027.jpg picsvfr 028.jpg picsvfr 029.jpg

I'm not sure how to attach pics. At any rate the '86 VFR waw bought new by a friend, kept in his garge. He has lots of other bikes so never rode it much. I did work on it for him a few years ago, new battery, service, replaced carb parts, etc. It is all stock except for the Yosh exhaust. (will probably keep that as the sound of the 180 degree crank engine is just intoxicating)!! The only things that need fixin' is the plastic pin that holds the rear of the seat down broke so the seat popped up a bit and broke off the tab on the rear seat cover (I have a fix in mind) and the left fairing cover is broken (will fix as well).
I don't know if I will source some bias ply tires and keep it original or retrofit some 17" wheels. I have several fast Ducati's so don't really need it to be fast. MY main bike is tht '92 851 in the background. It has a '07 deep sump Teststrett engine in it so can ride that if I want to go fast. I will be 71 in Deceber so it's time I slowed down a bit anywy! The dy has come and gone for me to wait for the tqlent scouts to call me and ask me to be a repacement for Rossi!! (LOL)
