Hey everyone! Josh here, I have been riding for about five years now and got started on an older GSXR 600. After that, I purchased a Hayabusa new in 2006 and sold that about a year later (very pricey to insure!). The Busa was quite a monster and I had modified it for sport touring with a new seat (stock ones always suck), ZG Double Bubble, Helibars, Adjustable Rear Sets and a Throttlemeister.

I currently have a 2006 Sportster 1200 Custom that has treated me very well. I have rode just over 15,000 miles on it in the last year and a half but have since listed it on CL in hopes of selling it and trying something different.

I really miss the speed and handling of my sportbike and am also very passionate about traveling. This past June, my buddy and I rode down to Phoenix and back on a 9 day trip (4,000 miles). Here is a link to some pics if you guys are interested.

My hope is to have the Sportster sold in the next month or so to make way for a VFR. The one that has really caught my eye was a white 06 with hard bags. If you look at my Busa pictures, you can see why I am partial to white.

My buddy has a CBR 600 F4I and said if he hadn't got such a sweet deal on the F4I, the VFR was the king of sport touring and that is what he would have bought. All the information I have read leads me to believe that to be the truth.

It looks like there is a wealth of knowledge here and I hope to pick up a VFR in the near future and ride it all over this country. Like I said before, I love touring and every spare minute I have is usually spent riding.

On a side note, I HATE winter....

    Thanks for listening!
    Josh
