Hello All I'm a new rider and owner from Louisville, Kentucky. My first motercycle purchase was a 1986 Kawasaki Ninja zx500 which i got for 300 bucks. I thought it was a steal so i got it. I then traded it for a 1986 Honda VF500F Interceptor straight up. It is in overall good shape and it will need all my love. Now this is where I end up to start on my great path. I want to strip the bike down to frame and sandplast, paint the whole deal. I will put time effort and plenty of oney into this project. I need any advice,tips etc and all is appreciate it. Congrats and welcome aboard. Some are going to blast you for taking on such and old bike, but as long as you know that its going to take time and moo-lah, who cares. They are both yours to spend as you wish. I think its getting pretty hard to come by parts for that model year - that may be your biggest obstacle. But there are lots of guys on here with plenty of knowledge that should be able to help you out. Use the search function on this site - tons of info. And make sure you post up some pics...hell, start your own "rebuild" thread and keep it updated with before and after. Good luck.
