New viffer rider from Ontario

Hello to everyone of VFR World,

I am a proud new owner of a '06 pearl white VFR800 w/ABS. I can't stop staring at my bike when the pearl is glittering under the sun. I am also a proud owner of my '04 orange VTX1300C.

I am the type of rider who likes to load up the bike with camping gear, and go out onto the open roads for weeks at a time. Recently arriving back from the Americades, I was feeling an urge for a lighter, faster bike for these great twisties that are so easy to find down in the USA. Not only did I find that my VFR offers these attributes, also comfortable riding and great fuel economy.
I had already reached my break-in period after the first 3 days owner this wonderful machine.

This forum proved to be a valuable research tool when I was first deciding what new bike to purchase. And this forum will continue to be valuable as I slowly mod my Viffer to my personality.

Two items that I can't seem to find using the search tool are; options for covering rear passenger grab handle cut-outs, and relocating/hiding the rear suspension dial.

welcome to the site Sippy! this a great resource for all things VFR. as far as covering the voids left by the grab handles, you should have recvd a couple of body colored(white) tabs when you purchased the bike. i assume you bought it brand new. try checking under the seat and contact the dealer if you can't find them there. they should have them for you free of charge.

Yep, handle covers should be wrapped in white foam in the little space under the seat. Welcome to the site, Mark from Windsor here, just a stones throw away.

The dealer should have given you 2 plates that snap in place to cover the cut outs for the passenger grab handles. It's the first thing I did to my 07. I removed the handles and snapped in the cover plates. They should be colour matched to your pearl white bike. Ask the dealer for them. I assume you purchased it from a dealer. They should have given them to you when you picked up the bike.

ahh, feel like a noob. Found the covers under the seat. It was wrapped up in foam packing. Thought it was some kind of anti-rattle/sound deadner...lol.
