    Hi there.

I've been lurking for a month or two and thought I should introduce myself before I start asking questions.

I started riding earlier this year on a SV650S and after putting about 5K miles under my belt, I picked up a beautiful, pearl white 1993 VFR750F as a second bike. I've only put a few hundred miles on it so far but I love it.

It's mostly stock but came with a few choice upgrades that I knew I was going to do anyway: HeliBars handlebar risers, Throttlemeister cruise control, Corbin seat, and Race Tech springs. My mechanic replaced the chain, steering head bearings, and battery and then gave it a clean bill of health. After I add luggage, replace the windshield, add some RAM-mounted gadgets, and assemble a better repair kit, I hope to do some serious touring on it.

This forum is great and I hope to be here for many months. Although I've been doing a lot of browsing and searching both here and on VFRD, I still have a handful of questions about the 3rd generation VFRs that I hope you guys don't mind if I ask.

P.S. It looks like I bought tbone's bike!

That's a beauty...congrats on your new bike. I'm in the Bay Area, too, we should think about meeting up for a ride at some point.

Congratulations on buying such a nice looking bike. I'm close to S.F. in Pacifica and like to do day rides in San Mateo or Marin counties. Let me know if you want to get together.
