Just got a '07 VFR800 yesterday and am really enjoying it so far. I have a Suzuki DL650 that I've been on for about the past 18 months and the VFR is a giant step up in many ways. I love my V-Strom but the VFR is just so much smoother. I just wish it weren't so hot around Tennessee right now so I could stand to get outside and ride for a while.

Looking forward to enjoying the forum here. Looks like there is a lot of information to digest and I think I'll spend some time looking at what's already here.

welcome to the site. funny thing, I have been looking at getting a V-strom so I can do more fireroads and stuff. Are you keeping both? I was thinking of the 1000 though. Is it true they are not making them for 08? That's a pretty familiar song for us here on VFRworld as we are still waiting on the 08 VFR.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I appreciate it. I haven't had a chance to look over the forum yet, work tends to get in the way of things like that, but I hope to later this evening.

Reg71 I am keeping both bikes. My V-Strom has 17,000 miles on it over the past 18 months and I've enjoyed every one of them. I don't get on the dirt and gravel much, which is one of the reasons I got the VFR, but it is perfectly capable of doing so. Check out the forum at Stromtrooper.Com since that one is absolutely chock full of info about the bike.

Rumor is that Suzuki is not going to have a liter V-Strom in 2008, but rumors have been known to change. This time last year the same thing was being said about 2007 DL1000's and they did show up. Officially I haven't heard anything yet so it's anyone's guess at this point.
